The KB5040442 update is for Windows 11 versions 23H2 and 22H2, and KB5040431 is for Windows 11 21H2, with compilations 22621.3880, 22631.3880, and 22000.3079, respectively.

The bug in Taskbar impacts only Windows N edition users who have certain media features turned off by default or manually disabled in the control panel, as stated by Microsoft.

After installing the KB5039302 update, there may be difficulty displaying or using the taskbar on Windows N edition devices, as this edition lacks many media-related tools. Disabling ‘Media Features’ in the control panel can also lead to this issue.

Some enterprise users of Windows 11 23H2 and 22H2 may encounter problems when attempting to switch from Windows Pro to Windows Enterprise, despite significant improvements. Also, a glitch exists that can hinder Windows 11 21H2 users from altering their profile picture using the Settings app.

The mission, aimed at certifying Starliner for future missions, has faced various technical issues, including failures in multiple propulsors of the ship’s reaction control system crucial for the ISS decoupling and safe re-entry.

Engineers and experts from NASA and Boeing have collaborated extensively to analyze data and ensure the safe return of astronauts. A Flight Readiness Review is scheduled for Saturday to make the final decision, followed by a press conference from NASA to announce the next steps.

If experts determine that the Starliner’s return is too risky, Wilmore and Williams might need to extend their time at the ISS until February of the following year. In such a situation, they would return on the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, which has carried out 12 successful crewed missions.
