DJI Neo: A new small drone with advanced functions designed for novice users

DJI released the DJI Neo, a lightweight drone weighing 135 grams, designed for drone novices as it does not require registration with ANAC and DECEA. The model comes equipped with user-friendly features such as image stabilization and advanced sensors.

    DJI includes Neo technology.

The DJI Neo is notable for being lightweight and having both mechanical and electronic stabilization for improved video recording. It also provides 22 GB of internal storage and a QuickTransfer feature for quick file transfers.

The DJI Neo drone is equipped with visual sensors and GNSS for accurate positioning, a Return to Home function that automatically brings it back to the takeoff point, 4K video recording, and propeller protectors for added safety during flight.

    Intuitive management

The DJI Neo can be operated without a smartphone by using a button on the top that triggers various commands like Follow, Dronie, Circle, Rocket, and Spotlight, along with customizable features. To initiate the flight, simply place the drone on your hand, and it will automatically take off to execute the chosen command.

You can control the drone using a smartphone, adjust flight settings, and fly without restrictions. The drone can understand voice commands in English and Mandarin and record audio using the phone’s microphone. Its maximum flight distance without a remote control is 30 meters high and 50 meters away, but with a remote control, it can fly up to 10 km.

Flight modes refer to different settings or configurations that control the behavior of an aircraft during flight.

The DJI Neo remote control provides three primary flight modes – Cine, Normal, and Sport – that tailor the drone’s speed to the user’s requirements. Additionally, it is compatible with the DJI FPV 3 controller, enabling manual mode for greater maneuverability during advanced flights.

The FocusTrack system, accessible through remote control, provides extra object tracking functions like Spotlight, Point of Interest (POI), and ActiveTrack, enhancing the precision of video and photo captures.
