Motorola has introduced Moto Tag in Brazil, a tracking device intended to rival the Apple AirTag and Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2. Priced at R$ 299, it offers a budget-friendly and convenient option, particularly for Android users.

Moto Tag has a circular design similar to a coin and can be attached to accessories like keychains. It is offered in Dark Blue and Green colors, unlike the Galaxy SmartTag 2, which has a built-in handle for easy attachment.
Moto Tag’s main advantage is its broad compatibility with various Android smartphones, unlike Samsung’s SmartTag 2, which is more focused on Galaxy devices.
Moto Tag integrates with Google’s “Find My Device,” eliminating the need for extra apps to track items. However, it lacks UWB technology found in Apple and Samsung devices, affecting accuracy in crowded environments like shopping malls or airports. In these situations, using the sound alert may help locate the device.

Moto Tag includes practical functions such as a versatile button that can be personalized to assist in locating the user’s mobile device. It uses Bluetooth Low Energy for a reliable connection and is powered by a CR2032 battery that is simple to replace and lasts around one year on average.
